Courmayeur has always been a transition point, and it is therefore also a land of memories. Its history is told in its artistic and cultural heritage.

In the valley of Courmayeur, like everywhere else in Valle d'Aosta, three languages are spoken: French, Italian and Patois, the regional dialect which derives from French and Occitan.
