La seraccata (long sérac)
The Mont Blanc massif is one of the most spectacular sites for skiing, and not only for its surroundings. Its 20 kilometres of off-piste skiing are framed by more than thirty mountaintops over 4000 metres high.

The Mer de Glace downhill ski run
In winter, and in summer too, the "Sea of Ice" that crosses the Mont Blanc massif attracts thousands of skiers from all over the world, who come to enjoy the most panoramic and exciting Alpine ski run in Europe: 12 kilometres of off-piste skiing during which you lose 1600 metres of altitude, in a unique Alpine environment surrounded by beautiful summits. The Mer de Glace runs from the peak of Helbronner (3426 m) in Courmayeur, to the station of the rack-rail of Montenvers (1913 m) in Chamonix.
